Imo it seems to be due to lack of permissions, be sure to inject or run cheat as administrator!

On Windows OS in order to inject cheat, thus use DLL file and attach it to another process you need administrator permissions, and these permissions are inherited if one process with administrator permissions will open something, then this process as well will be running with administrator permissions. Thus you have to run DLL injector software that is being used to attach DLL file to already running process as administrator, then you should have injected cheat or if this cheat is broken/outdated there will be game crash or error.
